CUSTOMER VOICES

“I thought I loved Montessori education before, after having taken the Primary course. But I fell in love with the Lower Elementary curriculum even more! This course helped me to see how it’s all connected and how fun it can be to get into the more abstract concepts like grammar and word study. It was so packed full of information and support.” – Michelle

“I loved getting the list of lessons and trying to wrap my head around it all. The live and recorded discussions were excellent, and always seemed to clarify the printed materials. I enjoyed chatting with other participants when I could attend live, it seemed sometimes there was a second lesson going on in the chat that I always found beneficial.” – Fjola

“I loved the WHOLE THING! It gave me the direction I so badly needed! It’s more than just Montessori, the course really helps the adult to understand WHY the second plane child does what they do. Seriously, it was the best course I’ve done, and it’s made such a difference to our home education.” – Emma

“I came away with a stronger sense of Montessori, of my own rhythm and needs as they combine with my children’s, and a ton of resources to support our homeschool journey. I would highly recommend it! It was a key resource for empowering me as I leapt into this special and sacred time with our children.” – Chris

We (myself and my 6.5 yo daughter) LOVE the lower elementary curriculum! I feel the freedom to go at my own pace while observing my daughter and seeing what she might be ready for. The coaching is so nice and each month I feel refreshed and ready to focus on a new subject from the Montessori approach. My daughter loves the great lessons, all of the science involved and the creative ways she gets inspired through the activities and lessons. This is not open and go like most other curriculums but it’s shown me that a little creativity and observation can create magical moments of learning that I never expect! My almost 4 year old also loves the lessons we do and gets involved easily in his own ways. A great resource if you’re a parent in this for the long haul and want to create a love of learning in your home.

Montessori spaces can sometimes feel so elite. When gearing up for the big decision to homeschool beyond the preschool years, I found myself questioning if I was capable of providing a quality experience, in homeschool setting and budget. This Lower Elementary course was a warm hug of confidence and support. It was easy to navigate and digest at the pace I needed, while homeschooling three children and welcoming a fourth. There is loads of practical advice specifically tailored to be attainable for homeschool families, on top of the curriculum. I really can’t recommend this course enough for the prospective homeschooler. It’s so well worth the investment.

If there is any Montessori program that u are shopping for, do child of the redwoods. They are very professional and supportive. Love their system, super easy to navigate and it covers everything to support your homeschooling journey. It is a very well thought of program, made easy for parents who are not trained.

We bought both the constellation program and also Lower EL. I think there is a quiz to see which one suits your family best. Do the quiz and purchase the right course for your family.

Homeschool of the Redwoods’ Lower Elementary curriculum has been a dream fit for our family! I love that it provides a complete framework for the 6-9 years with plenty of support, resources and inspiration (perfect for my structure-craving brain) while offering SO many options for freedom and flexibility (perfect for my spirited, independent 7 year old). Homeschooling has its delights and challenges, but I can always rely on this amazing child-led program as our home base. Like Montessori education itself, Homeschool of the Redwoods is not just a curriculum but a (wonder-filled!) lifestyle.

  5. Chaya Dina Blalock

As a grandmother, I wanted to learn more about Montessori homeschool education at the elementary level, since my children want to homeschool their own children. I had previously taken a wonderful course elsewhere for Montessori primary, but I really wanted to know how Montessori education might look different for homeschooled children. I felt a great sense of freedom and inspiration when I took this course, and look forward to reviewing it as my grandchildren grow into their elementary years.

  6. Iola Hallock

When my ADHD son was expelled from his AMI certified Montessori school solely because of his learning difference, my husband and I thought we’d lost our dream of a Montessori education for our son. Child of the Redwoods Lower Elementary program helped us regain that dream. Month-by-month, through informative instructional videos, I’ve learned a low-budget, common sense approach to the lower elementary curriculum. For our family, Child of the Redwoods was a crucial and successful bridge from the Montessori classroom environment to a more supportive (but still) Montessori homeschool environment. I’m so grateful for this program!
