My favorite part of Constellation is the virtual support of like minded home schoolers through the community and live coaching sessions! The themes are thought out and lovely but they’re a secondary benefit in my opinion.

I could probably write an essay on how this program has changed my homeschooling journey! The entire program is the most amazing package of learning materials and activities, sharing ideas, parental support, self care and parental development. To me, the online community and live coaching sessions are just as responsible for my success and joy in this journey as the theme packets are, even more probably. I have learned so much, along with my child, and both of us absolutely love this journey we’re on together. I couldn’t recommend the Constellation program more highly!

This April i would complete 2Years of constellation. I have been very grateful for the community, the sessions with Aubrey (plus David sometimes) and the activities package as it has helped me immensely to find my foothold in our homeschooling journey.

The shine sessions are very intimate and meaningful. It definitely adds a purpose to me as a person and a parent. The right set of questions to journal with, the soothing music and voice of Aubrey when she reads some beautiful excerpts is what makes the shine sessions shine. I rarely miss any. Even if i do they provide the recorded version pretty fast.. The connect sessions work wonderfully as set of workshops every month to tackle something new. Each topic that has been covered so far has been chosen with lot of thoughts and they have definitely been a great resource for me a novice Montessori and Homeschool mom…

The way constellation is evolving its totally amazing. Its quite organised and we get to access earlier shine and connect sessions when we need to access those resources. They are absolute treasure. I think its a huge huge bonus for families who are homeschooling, schooling but want to have some connection at home through activities, doing the primary and elementary courses (to supplement their lesson plans).

My younger one was close to 3.5Y when we began constellation but by the time she was 4 we were doing cactus and moon theme that stayed so deeply with her. While we were on our walks she would so comfortably recognise succulents amongst all plants. Moon was our favourite too because we would set up telescope and observe the phase while referring to the materials provided. I jellyfish was another theme that we loved. My older one enjoys doing all the activities and doing her own takes too. There are so many themes i can go on and on about.

Personally few of my favourite things thats great about the way they provided the curriculum are
    1. Organised and sorted info on activities in relevance to the subject area from each theme (this allows you to quickly glimpse and check activities to refer based on subject area )
    2. Advance info on future topics for the year.
    3. Advanced release of materials to help in planning
    4. A head ups on the next momths theme with book recommendations to mentally prepare ahead.
    5. Activities well designed to cover practical life, sensorial, math, social sciences, biological sciences , language.

Most importantly a honest , sweet and helpful community. Aubrey and David are always helpful and go above and beyond to make us feel heard and helped and supported. This journey would have been incomplete without Constellation.

I joined Constellation 3 months ago, and it has been a great addition to our homeschool journey! I have a 5-year-old, 2-year-old, and a baby.

My favorite part is that every activity has an “Everyone can play” section that says how to modify an activity for toddlers, primary ages, and elementary. It is perfect for those with multiple children in different stages of development.

We love the variety of activities and all the support along the way!

  5. Beth

Awesome. That’s all you need to know. Try it. You’ll love it.

  6. Julianna

Constellation is easy to follow and to do at home with children. Love the way it has been set up for parents to succeed in their homeschooling journey. Aubrey also answers and replies quickly and she is really supportive as well. This is a good buy if you are planning to homeschool multiple children in diff age group.

I am so thankful that I found Child of the Redwoods and the Constellation program! I knew a lot about Montessori before, but I didn’t have the framework to structure my knowledge and implement it with any measure of organization. But the Primary program gave me that framework and organization I was needing; Constellation has helped me to implement Montessori with my kiddos at home, and in the community I have found real support and made new friends. I am such a confident homeschool mom now, and I am so thankful for this community!

P.S. The Constellation materials are BEAUTIFUL, by the way; printing them at the library and setting up for the new theme is my favorite part of the month! This program is just so fun!

I joined Constellation after completing the Primary Program last year and my 5 year old and I are now in our ninth month. We will renew our membership for sure. I debated joining because I was worried that it was a lot to pay without being certain that I would manage to use the program. The biggest reason that I decided to go for it was to keep my membership in the online community because there is so much magic going on there! The Constellation themes are wonderful on their own, but I know it’s the motivation and connection I find in sharing the experience with others that makes it indispensable to me.
Every month I think there’s no way the next theme will be as good as the one we’re working on…but it always is (also, you get access to all past themes and can pick and choose activities if your child has an interest) ! The next theme is usually released the last weekend of the month and I love my monthly ritual of reading through, printing and organizing things. I love that I am learning so much about topics that I probably wouldn’t have picked but always end up to be fascinating and spark creativity in me and my child. My son’s plan for adulthood is to be a snowplow driver, and drop me off at the library on even the snowiest days so I can pick up our Constellation books to read to him when he’s done work, ha ha.

Constellations is an amazing program for everyone! Giving you monthly themed curriculum and a wonderful community to be apart of.
Highly recommend for those just getting started but not sure how to get your kiddos engaged daily at home or if you’re needing some fresh new ideas.

Constellation has been part of the foundation of our homeschool since the beginning. It prepares me to teach on a subject and gives me a step by step curriculum to use. It is a wonderful supplement to the primary and lower elementary curriculum. I get so much support from the constellation community – both the mighty networks community and the coaching calls. I looked at a lot of other Montessori options when I was choosing curriculum 3 years ago, and I am so glad I chose Homeschool of the Redwoods. Aubrey and David are so supportive and responsive!

  11. Rachel

This curriculum package is all-encompassing and has a wide variety of activities. The activities are outlined in detail and easy to assemble beforehand. Book and materials lists are available and help you know what you need. Everything can easily be printed out at home too.

  12. Sonia

Childoftheredwoods is my safe place on the internet.
I love their monthly coaching sessions and theme based activities suggested per month.
The community is made up of like minded montessori mamas who are always very encouraging .
I always find the photos other members upload encouraging and always come out with new ideas.
Childoftheredwoods has changed me as a parent.. I am more patient and willing thanks to them.
Aubrey will always have a special place in my heart.

I’ve been doing Constellation for a bit over a year now and I really love it. The thematic activities (and fantastic curated booklists) are fun to do and don’t take a lot of prep. They’re written out with a description of all the steps you need, and suggestions of how to adapt each activity do different age groups. There is a fantastic community that is full of encouragement, support and people sharing the activities they do with their children (themed activities and everyday ones). It’s a great way to reduce the mental work of coming up with ideas, and get ideas and support from other like-minded parents.

  14. Amber

We joined Constellation after completing the Redwoods Primary Program. I have been so pleased with things so far! As an elementary educator and coach turned busy stay and home mom, I found I wanted to spend my time actually doing the activities with my son rather than designing and creating them from scratch. Having the monthly themes to really ground our exploration has been fantastic, especially because they always bring such a unique perspective! The community and coaching sessions have been a welcome bonus!

  15. Fjola

I can’t say enough about what a perfect fit this program is for us. It seems like each month the topic lines up with something we absolutely need either thematically or within the activities for our homeschooling. I have completed the Primary and Lower Elementary programs as well, and as an alumni repeating the LE program it is almost magical how well Aubrey and David and their team weave the topics from Constellation in and out of the courses. The growth of Constellation over the years is exponential and I can’t even begin to imagine where it is headed. I am honored to be a part of its community and will continue to be for as long as possible.

  16. Caitlin

I LOVE constellation! The amount of work and thought put into each theme is very much appreciated. The activities have been a really fun way to connect with my girls and honestly I’m learning so much right along side them. Our community meets up twice a month with Aubrey virtually which really helps me to become intentional at home as well as helps me to feel connected with others. I love connecting with others on our community platform as well which is a great way to continue to be inspired and ask for support. Constellation is really the backbone of my families homeschooling experience. It creates the structure we need but is also flexible.

  17. Sal Berns

Constellation is absolutely fantastic. Each month, the learning activities include a great mix of shelfwork/printables, hands-on activities of all sorts, recommended books, real-life adventures, and more. Other great features include the monthly live conversations and the suggested adaptations for children of different ages

  18. Iola

Constellation is an amazing home enrichment program! My favorite parts are (1) the creative, monthly book lists, (2) the weekly subthemes on the main theme, and (3) the virtual community of like-minded parents. The twice-a-month, live-coaching sessions are reminiscent of the kinds of workshops my son’s Montessori school used to offer to us as parents. I find they helped me get my mind in the game to walk the Montessori walk at home. I highly recommend it!
